There is a guy in the middle of London standing on a plinth making paper airplanes, stuffing them with folding money and throwing them to the passer bys. I kid you not. I just saw this dude do it over at http://www.oneandother.co.uk, the live web cam from the One & Other project at the empty Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square in London, a space normally reserved for statues of Kings and Generals.
He has just done it again and like the first one it nosedived to earth.
But why take my word for it go on over and see for yourself.
Every hour a different person will strut their stuff for 45 minutes longer than Andy predicted for the next 94 days. Already about 140 people have done their thing and there are another 2260 to go.
What would you do if you had an hour?

I have applied Henry.
I am still to decide what I will do should I be picked!
Well your chances are a bit worse than 1 in 10. If you are chosen let me know so I can tune in.
I trust you will come up with something more interesting than sitting listening to your ipod like the current guy.
An hour is a very long time to fill as a solo act.
All the slots for July and August are already selected, so the chances are probably worse than half that again - 1 in 20 to 30. Plus there is some element of proportional representation to ensure the regions are fairly represented. If there have already been people from Oxfordshire then my chances are lower still.
The next selection is on August 1st for the September slots and the last selection is on September 1st for the October slots.
I'll let you know if I get selected and for which time slot.
My initial thought is to find some way to be there, but not be there.
As usual, logistics and cost would be the biggest obstacles!
